The Church Sign Contest – Voting Round!

Ding ding! Time to start the voting! You have until November 7th to vote for your favorite contest entry, the creator of which will win:

  1. A signed paperback of Dearly, Departed!
  2. A signed hardback of Dearly, Beloved!
  3. Assorted, random paper products bearing either of these two logos!

And so, in no particular order (voting below):

(Entry 1: Sarena’s church is heavy into political organizing – I like.)

(Entry 2: Cassandra’s got one-stop shopping for spiritual guidance and furry companionship.)

(Entry 3: Rose’s church is segregated — how tragic. Or helpful, depending on the type of zombies we’re talking about.)

(Entry 4: I’m getting a militant vibe from Brandy’s church…I kinda like it.)

(Entry 5: 7hir7een’s church apparently uses my books as their religious canon. Awesome.)

(Entry 6: Ren’s local officiant seems very, very confused. I can’t really blame him. Just imagine how confused the NV divorce lawyers are by this point.)

(Entry 7: Lori’s church is hosting a zombie revival — and I TOTALLY want to go!)

(Entry 8: Kaily’s argument is sound, but I’m wondering if I need to come up with excuses for all the bad things I’ve done before these particular zombies arrive. Like, NOW.)

(Entry 9: Bumpy723 has found his or her niche as a social events planner for this church. Who could resist this?)

(Entry 10: Terrie captures a society in freefall. First they took our flesh, then they took our bridge…)

Okay — now it’s up to you. Which one is your favorite? You have until the end of November 7th to vote!

Loved them all – but #8 made me laugh out loud, and when I read it to my husband, he nearly spewed his soup all over his computer…

How do you vote? I do not see a “submit” or “vote” button. I select picture #2.

At the very bottom of the page (under the entries), there should be an orange-edged box that says “Dearly Church Sign Contest.” Select one and click “submit.” :D If you can’t see it, it may be a computer or phone issue.

If you’re seeing that, someone already voted on your computer. My advice would be to try from another computer, or try clearing your cache and reloading the page.

How do I make it go on my phone? I can see half of entry ten but then it won’t show me the submit button.

Huh. It’s hard to troubleshoot from afar (and I’ll use a different polling service next time). My guess would be to try to use it on a larger device; it sounds like the size of your phone screen might be shrinking it?

I voted for Ren’s. Made me laugh out loud. :) Great contest!

This was really fun to make. Kinda reminded me of Twitter just a bit: come up with something witty in a very short amount of space.
