Which would be a signed hardcover of Dearly, Departed. I repeat, I’m not into Satan or anything – I just like numbers with meaning. Plus I was raised on a pretty steady diet of Hammer Horror films growing up, and I feel that to ignore this occasion would be to let down my entire childhood. (Christopher Lee. I would still date you. You are amazing. Please email me.)

So, this will be a random drawing! To get in, post with your favorite demon- or hell-themed movie! Make me some obscure recommendations, guys! You know I love that stuff. The winner will be drawn randomly on Friday, June 1st!

The original Omen was an awesome movie. That little kid was downright scary!
Candy man creeped me out all kinds of ways. 20 years later I still won’t walk into a bathroom with the lights off! Lol.
And as for Zombie movies, I’d have to say that I Am Legend was my fave.

Not a movie, but surprisingly good regardless – the TV series “Reaper” from the CW. I know, I know, but hear me out! It has a fairly clever premise – “Sorry son, we kind of sold your soul to the Devil, and now he’s here to collect. Happy birthday!” – and elevates it further with an unexpected amount of witty writing, some genuinely creepy moments and the occasional burst of straight up pathos. Mix in some fun, campy effects and it’s a solid treat for a rainy afternoon.

Hmm…I’ve racked my brain trying to think of demon or hell movies and the first one that comes to mind us Paranormal Activity. That movie terrified me and my sisters because we thought it was real (hahaha ridiculous, I know). Next I would have to say Army of Darkness…it’s evil and hilarious. If you’re into TV shows with a lot of evil, you should check out American Horror Story (though it’s a little racy). And last, but not least I’ll throw in a few zombie flicks since I know you love those…Dawn of the Dead, all the Resident Evil movies, and The Walking Dead show!!! <3

I’d have to go with either “The Fog” or “The Car” – both terrified me in my childhood in the late ’70s and 1980’s. Zombie fisherman ghosts and a demonically possessed car, can’t go wrong with that!

I totally loved Constantine! The main character is played by Keanu Reeves, the story’s about a demon hunter, who needs to find out more about someone’s death, fighting demons and satan himself!
I would love to win a signed copy of your book, because then i’d have the most amazing present for a friend of mine, who borrowed my copy but couldn’t afford one herself!
I would also like to say that i love your writing, and that you should totally keep on doing it :)

I recommend “They Wait.” It’s a horror film I watch frequently during Chinese Ghost Month. It’s about a little boy who becomes possessed by a ghost of a young girl in a Chinese sweatshop. The boy’s mother must put herself in a state near death and give an offering to the King of the Demons to go into Hell to save her son’s soul.

This book would be a great gift for my little sister. Hopefully I can steer her away from her phone and have her bury her face in your book(s).

I thought of this one earlier, but couldn’t find the name of it.

“Lo” is about a guy who falls in love with a demon. When his girlfriend is dragged back to hell, he summons the demon Lo to help him find her. The style of the movie is similar to a Blackbox production style play. So if that’s your thing, I think you’ll enjoy this movie.

You can find it on Netlfix I believe. Do know it’s not in English, so subtitle reading is required.

Thanks for the awesome giveaway :) I would have to recommend “One Missed Call” I’m not sure if it exactly fills the hell/demon genre but it is horror and it’s really quite freaky.
