And There Shall Be Conventions, and Rumors of Conventions

Last Updated: January 5th, 2012

I’m working on my appearance schedule for this year (yay!), and this is what I have so far. Anything that’s marked with an asterisk is confirmed – no asterisk, then I’m still feeling things out or waiting for news about logistics.

Conventions marked with “guest” mean I’ve been specifically invited as someone who writes stuff; conventions marked with “attendee” mean that I will be running around like I normally do, without a businesslike bone in my body. (Either that or I don’t know if the convention in question has any use for me professionally, yet!)

Ad Astra, Toronto, Canada – April 13-15th (Guest) (Couldn’t make it due to illness. So unfortunate!)

AetherFest, San Antonio, Texas – May 4-6th (Guest)

Steampunk World’s Fair, Piscataway, New Jersey – May 18-20th (Guest)

The Annual Syracuse Arts and Crafts Festival – July 27-29th (Guest)

Authors After Dark, New Orleans, Louisiana – August 8-12th (Guest)

Dragon*Con, Atlanta, Georgia – August 31 – September 3rd (Attendee)

Know of any awesome conventions that ought to be on this list? Feel free to email me!

This is why I hate living at the bottom of the world, we don’t have conventions in New Zealand. So I’ll just hope for heaps of photos on the internet!

Actually, I saw an Aetherfest in New Zealand while con-searching yesterday (sometime in May, I believe) – unfortunately, I can’t attend, but you ought to go! :D
