Nailing on the Lid

I finally have a cover! Just talked to my editor, who said that it can finally go live.

So, here she is!

This is for the US release, of course, and it’s the first cover I’ve seen. I love it – especially now that she has more hair! In the first version of the cover that I was given the model’s hair was a lot less curly (Nora has thick black ringlets), and I just had to lobby for more. Thankfully, the team at Random House is incredibly understanding and patient (I love them all to bits), and they obliged. I know that authors normally have zero cover input (or should expect to have zero cover input), so I’m very grateful that they listened to me on such a piddling little detail.

I guess now that I wear wigs exclusively, I have unrealistic hair density expectations. Side effect. Completely understandable.

Looks fabulous! Dearly, Departed has been featured on my blog several times- and has a permanent spot in the sidebar until its release! I’m so excited for this book!
